Most viewers know him as Ephram Brown on the WB's soon to be sophomore
series Everwood; but Canadian born Gregory Smith is no newcomer to the
Hollywood scene. His film and television credits include over 20 projects;
with roles opposite Kirsten Dunst, Heath Ledger, Rosie O'Donnell, Colin
Farrell, and Mel Gibson. Greg was born in Toronto, Canada on July 6, 1983
to Maurice and Terrea Smith and is the first of four children. He began
acting at a young age of 6 with a starring role in Andre. His only previous
experience was a Tide commercial at 14 months. He later relocated to Los
Angeles and his career began to take stride. With numerous small projects
and supporting roles under his belt, Greg built a foundation to take his
career to the next level. He did just that when he was called in to
audition for a lead role in a new primetime pilot, Everwood. Although he
auditioned numerous times, producers say they never doubted that Greg was
Ephram Brown. Berlanti brags, "When he walks into a room, your hair stands
up." The pilot was picked up by the WB Network and has since garnered
critical acclaim.
A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Greg currently resides in Los Angeles when not on location filming in Utah. Talk About Gregory Smith: Forum
